Valentine treats for parents and children

A Valentine celebration at our Wood Street Parent and Child Group in Bolton proved a real winner, with the room filled with smiles, laughter, and a lovely sense of togetherness from the moment everyone arrived.

The morning was full of activity. Mums were treated to some well-deserved pampering. They enjoyed soothing hand massages, refreshing mini facials, and a nail painting treat.  It was very special to see everyone taking a moment for themselves.

Meanwhile, the children were having just as much fun! They played games together, took part in creative craft sessions, made beautiful Valentine’s cards, and decorated delicious biscuits (with a few sprinkles enjoyed along the way!). All the toys were out and well used. It was lovely to see the little ones sharing, exploring, and making memories together.

The team also took the opportunity to set up their donation station, offering children’s and women’s clothing for parents to help themselves to.

Team Leader Kerrie Corcoran said: “All in all, it truly was a beautiful morning filled with love, kindness, laughter, and community spirit.  Moments like these remind us how important it is to create safe, welcoming spaces where parents and children can connect, relax, and feel supported.

“We are very grateful for the help we get from Baby Blossoms, Funding Futures, and Lisa Forshaw and a huge thank you to the incredible volunteers who give their time, energy, and care to help us provide this wonderful service week after week. We are so grateful for each and every one of you — we couldn’t do it without you!”
