Residents at the Coach House were delighted to receive a donation of two leisure centre passes from the Alfreton Town Safer Neighbourhood Team which will last for one year.
The money for the leisure centre tickets was supplied by Derbyshire Constabulary’s Community Safety Department, and Alfreton Leisure Centre kindly provided the passes at a reduced rate. The tickets allow two individuals to visit the leisure centre at any time with full access to the facilities.
PC Roger Brown of the Alfreton Town Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “We hope that these passes will benefit the lives of the youngsters living at The Coach House; helping them to make new friends, gain new hobbies and put down roots within the area.
“We also hope that this work will help us to build on our relationship with the teenagers so they’re happy to work with the police in the future.”
Karen Morden of Alfreton Leisure Centre added: “We’re very pleased to be able to offer these discounted annual passes to residents of The Coach House and we’re sure that the teenagers will enjoy coming along and using our facilities.”
