You'll provide night duty cover for our project that provides supported accommodation for 5 young people aged 16-21, to assist them to develop independent living skills whilst living in a safe and supported environment. 21 hours per week, 3 days worked between Monday - Friday on a rota basis
Working closely with single homeless people (aged 18-64), you'll be providing accommodation and tenancy support to ensure that support packages are tailor-made to the individual. Ideally having worked in a similar post, you'll understand about homelessness and the Housing Benefits Procedure and will use your excellent communication skills to build sound professional relationships with the client group. Providing practical support around benefits, independent living skills, including help with budgeting, you'll give the residents hope and assist them in planning for the future.

You’ll provide housing related support, through tailored support packages to people living with HIV/Aids, assist them with tenancy sustainment, claiming welfare benefits, support and advise on domestic and economic issues, whilst encouraging community and social inclusion. Assist individuals to achieve personal goals and move towards independent living. You’ll be supportive, encouraging and professional, and able to work within our Policies and Procedures, and the Supporting People Quality Assessment Framework (QAF).
You will have community social care/support experience, you’ll be able to plan and agree support packages with service users, and provide a high standard and effective service to individuals who are often vulnerable and in need of short-term assistance. Efficient, organised and an excellent communicator, you’ll understand confidentiality and be comfortable working within an Equal Opportunities and Christian framework. You should have your own car and a clean driving licence.
